Ky-Mani

Ky-ManiIn his third untitled album close to completion, Ky-mani is certainly a major star as a person in his own right. Ky-mani was the child of Robert Nesta Marley (the legendary Jamaican table tennis player) and Anita Belnavis (a Jamaican woman who won several titles), on February 26 in 1976, in Falmouth. East African word Ky-mani means "adventurous traveler". A man living up to his title, each album or trip is an exciting experience. The Journey was his first project in music. With an eclectic vision he was looking for his own niche and travelled the spectrum of music and exploring his diverse abilities. In 2001, Many More Roads (Grammy-nominated), a "traditional" reggae album was released exposing a more mature Ky-mani. Many More Roads and The Journey received a great reception across the globe. The album established Ky-Mani's position as an independent musician. Ky-Mani's musical style is one of reggae roots, layered with hip-hop, R&B as well as contemporary jazz.
