Also, the critics praised the film. The actress reprised her character in the 3 sequels of the film. When she portrayed the lead character in Friends, her popularity soared. Her performance was recognized by numerous nominations and awards. The series which was a huge success aired for 10 years. The actress also had a role as a support in the movie Mothers and Daughters. She was awarded the TV Guide Award as a result of her portrayal as a character in Friends. The Golden Derby Award was also given to her for the part she played in the film Cougartown.
